Sasha Erander is a show jumper based in Kent, running a small and focused yard dedicated to top‑quality care and the thoughtful development of horses from youngsters through to high‑level jumpers. Her set‑up is particularly well suited to the more ‘quirky’ types, the horses who benefit from a calm, consistent environment and a horse‑first approach. While these talented individuals often come with their own challenges, the rewards are undeniable.
“We tend to find ourselves working with horses that really need a bit more 1:1, and these are the kind of horses I find myself with. From competition horses, to unruly ponies or horses that just need a bit of hand, they all just seem to settle here. We have a very simple routine but it’s a good one, that I think the horses thrive off”
Before establishing her own yard, Sasha gained invaluable experience at Shane Breen’s and later in the US riding for Bruce Davidson. In her own words, working with horses isn’t an easy job, there are good days and bad days, but she couldn’t imagine doing anything else. She is, without question, a truly passionate equestrian.
“I have been so fortunate to ride such talented horses, however, many have come with their difficulties and quirks but this has taught me the value of patience. One day you will get that reward. I have had a lot of hard learned lessons with horses, like we all have, and it really has made me a much more passionate rider, and I really believe that patience and kindness is key to horses reaching their potential. Although winning and competing is amazing, I really do care about the horses and the relationships I have with them and our journey together mean to world to me”

Her dedication and talent shine through in her achievements. She has produced youngsters up to 1.40 and competed on both national and international stages as well as jumping world ranking Grand Prixs at 2 star level as well as regularly placing and jumping clear in area trials (1.50). In 2022 Sasha and Godies placed 4th in the Talent Seeker Final at HOYS and following on from this, in 2024 the pair were selected for the Gold Development Programme with British Showjumping and Sport England, a pathway designed to support riders aiming to establish themselves at 1.40m–1.50m and those working toward selection for the World Class Performance Pathway Programme.
Another exciting member of her current string is Navratilova (owned by Pippa Woodall and Anne Stratton), a talented young horse Sasha has produced from novice level and who is now confidently competing at Foxhunter. The aim for 2026 is to step up to Newcomer Second Rounds and secure a HOYS qualification.
Sasha first started using CoolStance Copra many years ago for a thoroughbred mare who was hot, sharp, and struggled to hold weight and she hasn’t looked back since.

“Not only do their coats gleam, they look amazing and they become so much more trainable. For me it’s the perfect product from the really experienced horses, to the breakers. A lot of my horses are sharp and difficult and the copra manages their energy perfectly, they have enough for what they do but it is a lot more controlled. All the horses thrive on it, its extremely palatable even for really fussy eaters I’ve never had a horse or pony that doesn’t lick the bowl clean. I also love how I never have to worry about them tying up, having competition horses who jump at a very high level, its always so good to know their insides are happy with copra being so good to digest and GMO free. I genuinely couldn’t do what I do without this amazing product, its so essential to our yard and we couldn’t live without it!”
Alongside CoolStance Copra, Sasha also feeds UlcaBuff and Turmericle to ensure her horses are supported from the inside out, promoting digestive health, joint comfort, and effective recovery post‑exercise
